While installing the Monitor windvane I found the Vetus steel inforced rubber hoses to be porous with strains of fluid having left marks on the hull. So 4,50 m of exhaust hose plus 2x 0,50 m of cockpit drain hoses had to be replaced. No fun in the narrow lazarette.
A firm ordered the wrong hose and gave me the information that the hoses were now produced with blue marking. I only found out when arriving at the boat that they had given me the wrong piece of information. The only place where they had the correct hose in store was ín Hamburg. This gave me the opportunity to have breakfast with our daughter on Saturday before proceeding with the installation.
